Obituary of Connie C. Perrone

Mrs. Connie C. Perrone, age 92 of Gloversville, died early Friday morning, November 10, 2006 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home Gloversville, NY. She was born on July 31, 1914 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Amalia Mazzone Barone. She attended Gloversville schools. Following her education, she was employed as a glovemaker at Grandoe Glove Company, Aris Glove Company and Mario Papa and Sons. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville. Survivors include her husband, Charles P. Perrone, whom she married on June 27, 1937; two daughters, Jane Huntzinger Joel of Gloversville and Joan Dixon Joseph of Tamarac, FL; five grandchildren, June Poltorak, Jacqueline Rudasics, Jennifer Zinter, Len Sweet, and Justin Sweet; seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Anthony Barone, Louis Barone, James Barone and Ann Romano. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 pm Monday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a prayer service will be conducted Tuesday at 9:15 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville. The Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak will be the celebrant. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church Building Fund, 149 S. Main St; Gloversville, NY 12078.
