Even though Doris was a classmate of mine at GHS, I never got to know her well until the last few years since our class reunion in 2001, and I am so glad I did. We talked on the phone many times, and I admired her for the outlook she had and the valiant fight she put up through all her health problems.

Betty and I share the lost of Doris with you the family Knowing most of you and going to school with you all. Doris and my mom, Pat Carroll and my departed mother in Law Janet Hughes shared so much happiness, and hurts thru the years. My wife Betty really enjoyed the visits with Doris in Florida, and without her the world is just a little less fun. May God heal you left here, as He did 3 seconds after Doris arrived in Heaven. I always felt that god blessed me with another grandmother when Aunt Doris was around. She was definately the coolest. Always supportive of her family and somehow she seemed to help us all work harder and be stronger at whatever the task was. I will greatly miss Aunt Doris! I felt a real "kinship" with your mother. It was ironic to me, as my mother, Doris Stahl, passed away April 1, 1967. When I came back to Mew York, with Connie, I was taken aback when I learned that Gail had a cousin, Doris Stahl.
I feel blessed to have known, and learned from your mother.She was a constant, always there when the chips were down, ready to raise a downturned head. My mother too passed away from cancer, and like your mom, she never complained and faced it with the guts and grit that many individuals could never achieve.
