Obituary of Charles J. Montanye

Charles J. Montanye, 33, of East Lykers Road, Sprakers, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, NY. He was born in Amsterdam on June 6, 1973, son of the late Earl and Florence Mallett Montanye, Jr. Charles was a member of the Charleston Volunteer Fire Department and was formerly employed at TA Truck stop in Fultonville. Charles is survived by a daughter, Megan Wright of Johnstown; a sister, Dorothy Proper and her fiancé Frank Springer of Charleston; a brother, Alvero Montanye and his companion, Ruth May of Canajoharie; a nephew, James Proper, Jr. and his wife Stacy of Charleston and a niece, Beth Montanye of Canajoharie. Funeral Services will held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, with Rev. Charles Hesselink, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in Charleston Christian Church Cemetery at Charleston Four Corners.
