Obituary of Laverne V. Miller
Mr. Laverne V. Miller, 84, formerly of Wagner?s Hollow, Fort Plain, New York died on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in Concho, Arizona.
Born on September 6, 1922 in Broadalbin, New York he was the son of the late Leonard and Minnie Sweet Miller. He was a lifelong area resident and attended the Plank Road School in Fonda, New York. In 2003 he moved to Arizona.
Laverne served in the United States Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946, when he received his honorable discharge.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Franklin, Ivan and Robert Miller; and one grandson Michael Thomas.
His loving family includes two daughters, Marcia Rebello and her husband Joseph of Concho, Arizona, and Noreen Miller of Long Lake, New York; one son, Ward Miller of Lutz, Florida; one sister, Maryella Kinkle and her husband Fred of Palatine Bridge, New York; one half-brother, Loren Miller of Little Falls; three grandchildren, Kellie LaCoppola and her husband Andrew, Savannah Holtz, and Cheyenne Rebello; two great granddaughters, Maya and Rosalyn and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a celebration for life on Saturday at 1:30pm at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Interment will take place in the Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Mayfield. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 12:30pm until 1:30pm.
