Obituary of James A. Dempsey

James A. ?Jim? Dempsey, Sr., 66, of Maple Hill Road, Canajoharie, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Neptune, NJ on March 18, 1940, son of the late Ralph James and Mary Buckle Dempsey. Jim served in the US Army from 1963 to 1965. He married the former Doris Moran on March 27, 1967 in Neptune, NJ. Jim and his family moved to Canajoharie in 1970 where he fulfilled his plans to have his own farm. In addition to his farm, Jim worked as an electrician at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie. He enjoyed bowling with his fellow co-workers, spending time on his farm, and taking Karate with his youngest daughter. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Doris Dempsey of Canajoharie, a son, James A. Dempsey, Jr. of Manahawkin, NJ, two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca and Brad Bradford of Temple, TX, and Mary Hannah Dempsey of Canajoharie. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Rachel, James and Dylan Bradford, all of Temple, TX. At Jim?s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
