Obituary of Madelayne Davis

Mrs. Madelayne Davis, 103, of Gloversville, died December 30, 2006 at Nathan Littauer Extended Care Facility. Mrs. Davis was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on March 5, 1903. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine Klaus Dielschneider. Following the death of her mother, Mrs. Davis was adopted by William and Sarah Reveler Smith. In 1915, the family moved to Broadalbin, where she continued her education.. Mrs. Davis was employed by glove shops for a short time, and in 1944, she married the late Hugh Davis, and became a homemaker. She moved to Gloversville in the early 1980 s. Mrs. Davis is survived by her long time friend Mary Smith of Oregon, and by her nephew Henry Mueller of Rockport, Massachusetts. A visitation will be held at Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home on Thursday January 4, from 2-4 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 5, 1 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gloversville, with Reverend Peter Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Broadalbin Union Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin.
