Obituary of Virginia M. Neil

Mrs. Virginia M. Ferguson Neil, age 85, formerly of Gloversville and Vail Mills, NY; died Saturday evening, January 6, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville, where she had resided the past two years. She was born on March 18, 1921 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Harry and Flossie Miller Ferguson. She attended Gloversville schools, and graduated from Broadalbin High School. Virginia was employed for many years at the former Harding Fur Company, and for several years at F.W. Woolworth and Company, both in Gloversville. Virginia was married on May 20, 1940 to Gordon Neil who died February 6, 1996. She is survived by her son, Dennis J. Neil of Amsterdam; a niece, Sandra Nethaway of Johnstown; a nephew, Philip Ferguson of Northville; and a cousin, Arlene Potter of Vail Mills. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Ferguson. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 2 pm with the Rev. Wayne E. Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment will take place at FernDale Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the James A.
