Obituary of Richard A. LeCount
Mr. Richard A. LeCount, 55 of Johnstown, New York died January 12, 2007 at Mt. Valley Hospice House in Gloversville, New York. Mr. LeCount was born September 25, 1951 in Huntington, Long Island. His family moved to the Adirondack region in 1968 and he was a 1969 Graduate of Warrensburg High School. He served in the Army during the early 1970?s and continued his military service with reserve duty until 1976.
A well known and respected auto body repair man, Richard?s adventurous spirit took him to many areas with employment and his lifelong passion for motorcycles. He had most recently been employed in the maintenance department at Eagle Chevrolet. He has been an avid outdoorsman most of his life, especially enjoying hunting.
He is survived by two children: Richard J. LeCount and his fiancé Erica Joseph of Johnstown, New York and Tracy LeCount of Johnstown, New York. He is also survived by his parents; Josiah A. and Jane Martin LeCount of Warrensburg, two sisters; Beth and her husband Phil McLaughlin of Warrensburg and Dorcas and her husband Kevin Conkling of Huntington, L.I. one brother; Lawrence and his wife Kim LeCount of Screven, Georgia. Additional survivors include the mother of his children; Caren Petteys of Broadalbin, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 am Wednesday from the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville, New York. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-6 pm. Burial will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, New York. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mt.
