Obituary of Gustaw Samko

Gustaw ?Gus? Samko, 80, of Greene Street, Amsterdam, died early Thursday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born on October 2, 1926 in Poland. He moved to the Unites States in 1951. Gus was employed at various companies in the Amsterdam area for many years. He was predeceased by a son in law, Michael J. Kowalewich. His loving family included his wife, the former Josefa Kaczor, whom he married on February 23, 1946; one daughter, Jeanette Kowalewich of Amsterdam, New York; one son William Samko and his wife Annie of Schenectady, New York; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. At Gus?s request there are no funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
