Obituary of Elaine Novak Orsini

Elaine Novak Orsini, 75, of Sunset Road, Amsterdam, passed away early Monday morning at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility. Her loving daughter and son-in-law were at her side. Born in Troy, New York on November 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Kathryn Hryharow Novak; she lived most of her life in Amsterdam and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Elaine began her long career as a medical secretary first with the late Dr. Robert Gilston and later served in the same capacity for New York Oncology Hematology at the Amsterdam Cancer Center. She was the widow of Arthur Orsini. Survivors include her children Thomas Barbara Orsini of Delmar, Elizabeth Nicholas Bottisti of Fort Johnson and Christopher Orsini of Tequesta Florida; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Orsini and grandchildren, Alex, Luke and Stephen Orsini and Jonathan and Michele Bottisti. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Legacy Candle Ceremony which will take place on Friday, January 26th at 6:00 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. A calling hour will begin at 5pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, it was the request of Elaine that memorials be made to the Amen Soup Kitchen, or the Montgomery County SPCA, both in care of the funeral home office.
