Obituary of Stanley Peter Kedik

Stanley Peter Kedik, always called Peter, 66, of State Highway 161, passed away on Thursday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital shortly after his arrival. Born November 18, 1940 in Amsterdam, New York he was the son of Jean Miller Kedik and the late Stanley l. Kedik. He was a graduate of the St. Mary?s Institute in Amsterdam and the Spencer Business School in Schenectady. Peter was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed as a court reporter for the late Attorney William Tracey and later worked for the State of New York in Albany for the Commerce Department for ten years. Peter loved music and attended St. Casimir?s Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include his mother, Jean Miller Kedik, of Amsterdam and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Adam Kedik, who died in 1945. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Casimir?s Church, East Main Street in Amsterdam with the Rev. Stanley Swierzowski, celebrant. Burial took place at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to his family c/o the funeral home.
