Obituary of Mary E. Blakeslee

Mary E. Blakeslee, 89, of the Hillcrest Springs Adult Home, passed away Friday morning at the River Ridge Living Center. She had previously resided on Pawling Street in Hagaman. Born in Amsterdam on August 18, 1917, she was the daughter of Edward and Carrie Litchfield Trolet. She worked for many years as a presser for Chalmer?s in Amsterdam. A faithful member of Calvary Reformed Church in Hagaman, Mary loved to embroider and play bingo. She had four children, Melvin, George, Caroline and Jackie. She is survived by her dear friends at Hillcrest Springs and Calvary Reformed Church and her dear friend Shirley Buchanan of Hagaman. Friends are invited to attend her service on Monday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue with the Rev. Brian Dykema, officiating. Interment is in Fairview Cemetery. There are no calling hours and contributions may be made to the Calvary Reformed Church in care of the funeral home.
