Obituary of Marie H. Phillips
Marie H. Phillips, 81, formerly of Argersinger Road, Fultonville, New York, passed away on Sunday at the home of her daughter Donna and Tim on Indian Road in Fonda with her family at her side.
Born July 9, 1925 in Little Falls, New York, she was daughter of the late Herman and Henrietta Ney Miller.
Marie attended Fultonville High School and was employed as a sewing machine operator for the Johnstown Knitting Mill for 34 years until retiring in 1993.
She was a former member and past President of the Veteran of Foreign Wars # 562 Fultonville Auxiliary; the Christ Lutheran Church in Johnstown and the Glen Mohawk Seniors.
Marie enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, playing cards, embroidering and special loved spending time with her grandchildren.
On November 26, 1949 she married Clarence Phillips who died April 17, 1976.
Survivors include, four sons, Robert Juanita Phillips of Amsterdam, Keith Cherie Phillips of Fonda, Michael Phillips of Amsterdam and James Amy Phillips of Johnstown; three daughters, Donna Tim Wilmot of Fonda, Linda Campbell of Fort Hunter and Carol Ben Rose of Fultonville; three brothers, Helmuth Sally Miller of Fonda, Otto Mary Miller of Canajoharie and William Delaine Miller of Fort Meyers, Florida; two sisters, Ruth Reinhart of Wisconsin and Dorothy Earl VanAernam of Fultonville; good friend Ina Rose of Fultonville; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also service.
She was predeceased by, two sons, Ronald Phillips and Clarence Phillips; two daughters, Katherine Phillips and Debra Phillips; a grandson; Heath Phillips; a great
granddaughter, Alyssa Rose and two brothers, Alfred Miller and Heinz Miller and a son-in-law Joseph Campbell.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Fultonville, New York with the Rev. Christopher J. DeGraaf officiating. Interment will take place in Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. The Glen - Mohawk
