Obituary of Kerry John Nichols

Kerry John Nichols, 39, of Bartlett Street, Amsterdam, New York, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Albany Medical Center in Albany. He was born in Niskayuna March 28, 1967 a son of Barbara Levy Cooper Nichols and the late John H. Nichols. Kerry was a life resident of Amsterdam and attended schools in the area. He was a special man who enjoyed helping others in need. Kerry loved to spend weekends going to the movies with his mother, whom he had a very special bond with. He worked various jobs in the area, most recently at the former Amsterdam Savings Bank and Handy Up?s N Downs in Amsterdam. He enjoyed filming home movies, spending time with his family, and spending time with his friends, especially Paul and Bonnie Palmatere. Kerry enjoyed people in general, and they enjoyed him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Kerry is survived by his mother, Barbara Nichols of Amsterdam, his grandmother, Ethel Lee Cooper, and his brother, Derek Nevin Nichols of Amsterdam. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him. Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow on Tuesday at Fairview cemetery in Amsterdam.
