Obituary of Charles W. Bruse
Mr. Charles W. Bruse 64 of Gloversville, died February 9, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Mr. Bruse was born June 3, 1942 in Gloversville, son of the late Paul and Florence Wager Bruse Sr. He was educated in Gloversville schools and employed in the leather industry. Chuck was a leather dye specialist for many years for various leather mills, retiring from Lee Dye Corp. several years ago due to ill health.
Chuck was an avid hunter most of his life. He is survived by his children: Cathy Richard Dwyer of Johnstown, Wendy Michael Merwin of Blackville, S.C., Marguerite Brandon D?Avignon of Orem, Utah, and Colleen Joseph Insonia of Dalton, Georgia. He is also survived by two sisters; Barbara William Wyszomirski of Broadalbin and Diane Anthony Perna of Johnstown, three brothers: Paul Trish Bruse, DavidMargaret Bruse and Michael Cheri Bruse all of Gloversville. Additional survivors include three grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the James Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, N.Y. 12078 or to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
