Obituary of Stanley Harrison Barnes
Stanley Harrison ?Barnsey? Barnes, 69, of Woodside Ave, Gloversville, New York, passed away Monday February 12, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Mexico, New York on June 19, 1937 a son of Alfred and Catherine Wyman Barnes. Mr. Barnes attended school in Mexico, New York and later served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Barnes was a Dairy Farmer for over 30 years. He also worked at Kasson & Keller in Fonda, New York and King Fuels in Pattersonville and Mohawk, New York.
He was a member of the Randall Christian Church and the Hilltop Fire Department and Dolgeville Volunteer Police Force. He also was a member of the Buccaneers Drum Corps in Little Falls, New York He lived in Fultonville, New York, Ft. Plain, New York, Canajoharie, New York, Randall, New York and Gloversville, New York.
Mr. Barnes loved being with his family and his grandchildren. He was an avid John Wayne Fan and was also a New York Giants Fan and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Pueschel Barnes whom he married on August 5, 1967. In addition to his wife survivor?s include, one son, Stanley H. Barnes Jr. and his wife Calli of Gloversville, NY. Three daughters, Lacinda Irvin and her husband Robert Irvin Jr. of Gloversville, New York, Barbara Andrews and her husband Philip of Fonda, New York, & Bonnie Rave and her husband William of Gloversville, New York. An adopted daughter, Lisa Vanasse of Dolgeville, New York. Sisters, Jane, June, Edna Belle and Marylou. A best friend, Duane ?The Dude? Johnson. Thirteen grandchildren, Kayla Romaine, Shyane Barnes, Cherokee Barnes, Jordan Barnes, Savannah Shaut and Brendan Simek, Barbara Irvin, Bobbie Jo, Casey Irvin, Brittany Andrews, Jordan and Heather Rave and Christopher Vanasse.
He was predeceased by a brother William Barnes and a grandson Jeremy Barnes.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday March 3, 2007 at 2:00P.M. at the Randall Christian Church, State Highway 5S, in Randall, NY. Arrangements are by the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Barnes? memory may be made to the SPCA of Montgomery County, P.O. Box 484, Amsterdam, New York 12010.
