Obituary of Lillian P. Brayton

Mrs. Lillian P. Bennett Brayton, age 98, formerly of Gloversville, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at Wuesthoff Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida. She was born August 23, 1908 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Fred and Lucy Sleepy Bennett. Lillian lived in Gloversville for 54 years, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and worked at Robison & Smith for several years. She moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1962 and was employed as a nurse?s aide in a nursing home in that area. Mrs. Brayton is survived by three children, Frances Lewis and Joan Pettit of Melbourne, FL; and William F. Brayton of Gloversville; six grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Brayton; and three brothers, Edward, James and Claude Bennett. Funeral Services took place Tuesday in Melbourne, Florida. Private burial will take place Thursday at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
