Mrs. Hanson & Family,
Growing up in Tribes Hill and in the fire department for 21 years along the side of my father I grew to know Mr. Hanson. His dedication to his town, friends, and fire deparmtment did not go unrecognized. I remember hearing on the fire monitor about "me and mommy". I am truly sorry for you and your families loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers always.

To Grandpa
I will never forget the day that I first met you. I was at the farm with Tim, and I looked over across the lawn. I thought I was seeing things when I saw a man, in a speedo, mowing the lawn with black dickie boots, mirrored glasses, and cigar in his mouth. I looked at Tim and said..."uh...do you know that you have a man in a speedo riding around on your grandparent's lawn?" He just kept working on the machinery and said" oh, that's just Gramp". Since that very first day, you have never been "just Gramp". You loved me like one of your own, and I am so proud and humbled to be a part of your life for the last 17 years. Thank you for the many gifts that you have given Grandma, your children, their children, and your grandchildren.Thank you for always being there for all of us, and thank you for your gift of family, because without you and grandma, I would not have the family of my own that I have today. All my love, always and forever.
