Obituary of Dorothy M. Fallova

Dorothy M. Fallova, 81, of Florida Avenue, Amsterdam, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam with her loving family by her side. She was born in Marino, CO on May 12, 1925 daughter of the late Samuel and Martha Donnelly Millstead. Dorothy settled in the Amsterdam area in 1944. She married Louis F. Fallova, Sr. at St. Michael?s Church in Amsterdam in August of 1944. She very much enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. One of her greatest joys was to travel with her husband, Louis. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and all who knew and loved her. Dorothy was predeceased by two brothers, Bill and Ray, and a sister, Minnie. She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Louis F. Fallova, Sr. of Amsterdam, a daughter, Linda Richard Brancato of Rexford, two sons, Salvatore Fallova of Clifton Park and Louis F. Fallova, Jr. of Mayfield, two grandsons, Salvatore and Shawn Fallova, and three sisters, Marjorie, Lucille and Joanne. Funeral Services will be at 8:30 AM on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Betz, Rossi, & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:15 AM at St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam. Donations in Dorothy?s memory may be made to St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 for masses in her memory.
