Obituary of William Garcey

William Garcey, 58, of Old Trail Road, Fonda, passed away Saturday at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born January 12, 1949 in Austoria, New York, he was the son of Mariam Devlin Garcey and the late Robert Garcey Sr. He has been with his Liberty family since 1991. William loved greeting and making people happy. He was a very gentle and affectionate person. Survivors include; his mother Mariam Garcey, a brother, Robert Garcey Jr.; a sister Susan Osmers all of Stormville, NY; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and his Liberty family in Fonda. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. Cynthia Leonard officiating. Burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.
