Obituary of James L. Mallett
James L. Mallett, 74, of Douglas Street, Ft. Plain, NY passed away Monday, March 19, 2007 at home.
Born on May 28, 1932 in Ft. Plain he was the son of the late Harry and Esther Tallman Mallett. He was lifelong area resident and a graduate of Ft. Plain High School.
Mr. Mallett was a mechanic and an Inspector for the NYS Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1992. He served in the United States Army for a time during the Korean War, and was a 51 year member of the Ft. Plain Volunteer Fire Department.
His loving family includes his wife, the former Mary ?Pat? Fogerty, whom he married on April 15, 1955; two sons, Randy Sandra Mallett and Scott Mallett, all of Ft. Plain, NY; three grandchildren, Michael Mallett Liz Wright of Baldwinsville, NY, Tami Mallett David Edwards of Saugerties, NY and Beth Mallett of Ft. Plain, NY; two great grand children, Angel and Monique; a brother in law, William Gloria Fogerty of Herkimer, NY; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude?s Children?s Cancer Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
