Obituary of Amelia L. Kumparskas

Mrs. Amelia L. Kumparskas, 96 years old of Jerry Ave., Schenectady, died Saturday at the Nursing Center at Ellis Hospital. She was born June 30, 1910 in Amsterdam, the daughter of Joseph and Sally Gegzna Luksus. She was educated in the Amsterdam schools. Mrs. Kumparskas moved to Rochester, NY in 1935 where she resided until 1999. She then moved to Schenectady. She was employed by Monroe County for many years. Mrs. Kumparskas was a communicant of St. Casmir?s Roman Catholic Church while residing in Amsterdam. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Kumparskas, who died in 1998. Survivors include her sister Sadie Kozak of Schenectady, her nephew David Sandy Kozak of Schenectady and her grand nephew Marc. Milly?s family would like to acknowledge the caring staff at the Ellis Center and thank them for the wonderful care that they gave her during the past year. Funeral services will be 12 noon on Wednesday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam. Burial is in St. Casmir?s Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 11:00am until 12 noon at the funeral home.
