Obituary of Frances A. Raila

Miss Frances A. Raila, a 14 year resident of the Sarah Jane Sanford Home for Elderly Women on Guy Park Avenue, died Sunday at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility where she had been a patient for the past year. She was born on July 7 in Amsterdam a daughter of Anthony and Veronica Shimonas Raila. Miss Raila was educated in local schools. She had been employed by the former Mohawk Carpet Mills of Amsterdam and by Nestles Corp. as an office manager, in Los Angeles, CA, where she resided for 9 years. Miss Raila was a communicant of St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by many good friends and her Sanford Home family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:15am at St. Mary?s Church in Amsterdam. Burial is in St. Casimir?s Cemetery. There will be no prior calling period.
