Obituary of Pauline F. Carnevale

Pauline F. Carnevale, 85, of St. John St., Amsterdam, passed away peacefully Monday morning March 26, 2007 at her home. Born in Utica, NY on April 26, 1921 she was a daughter of Andrew and Carmella Darpino Passa. She moved to Amsterdam as a child and attended Amsterdam schools. She was employed at the former Chalmers Knitting Mill and then worked as a Supervisor at the former Mohawk Sportswear Company in Amsterdam retiring from there in 1984. She was a parishioner of St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Pauline was an avid reader, a wonderful cook and loved to bake for her family and friends. She married Edward Carnevale on June 28, 1941 he passed away on September 22, 1985. Pauline is survived by two sons, Edward Carnevale Pam of Highland Village, Texas, Robert Carnevale Nora of Schenectady, NY. Three daughters, Carmella M. DeRonda of Amsterdam, Patricia A. Rust of Amsterdam and Susan M. Rosser also of Amsterdam. Thirteen grandchildren, Matthew DeRonda, Donna Carlone, Jeffrey Mittler, Joseph Mittler, Courtney Rosser, Timothy Rust, David Rust, Stephen Carnevale, Laura Carnevale, Mark Keller, Kristen Keller and Brittany Keller. Four great-grandchildren, Angelina DeRonda, Michael DeRonda, Benjamin Carlone and Nicholas Carlone. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Mrs. Carnevale was pre-deceased by a grandson, Michael Krahmer in 1993. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers, Jack, Joseph and Alfred Passa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 29, 2007 at 8:15A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15A.M. at St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday March 28, 2007 from 5:00P.M.-8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
