Obituary of Ida M. Miles

Mrs. Ida M. Paul Miles, age 65, a former longtime Gloversville resident, died Friday, April 13, 2007 at her home in Broadalbin. She was born September 1, 1941 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Franklin and Florence Baird Paul. She lived in Gloversville most of her life, and had resided in Broadalbin for the past 15 years. She enjoyed crocheting, and was a faithful Elvis Presley fan. Ida is survived by her husband, Edgar W. Miles whom she married on October 21, 1960. Additional survivors include two children, Penny Lynn Wilson Christopher of Gloversville and Brian E. Miles of Broadalbin; four siblings, Fred Paul Winona of Gloversville, Florence Handy Ernest of Ephratah, and Franklin Paul and Ronald Paul of Gloversville; three grandchildren, Sherry Miles, Ronald Miles and Cody Wilson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cheryl Paul and Joyce Steenburg. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12 to 1 pm Tuesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 1pm with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
