Betty & Family, My deepest sympathy goes out to you all. We all lose loved ones but there is something special when it's your Mom. Peg just lost her Mom and the comfort is knowing who was waiting for her. We grieve because we'll miss them but our joy is knowing that when it happens to us they will be waiting for us with our Lord.My prayers and thoughts are with you. Love Karyn

Grandma Josie - I didn't know you in the formative years when your grandchildren were growing up and only learned how you cared for them. But I do know by the way they love you how important you are to them and how much you affected their lives. I can only guess you did the same for your children and all those you touched as their love for you is ever lasting. Sweet dreams and god bless. Love, Joe

You were the best Great Grandma anyone could have. I thought being your first Great grandson was an honor. I will always remember you were always trying to feed me or give me something to drink. Even though i was not living near i thought of you often and would ask mom how you were, I knew you were in so much pain. I Also appreciated all the prayers you said for me to keep me safe in Iraq, I hope you will continue to watch over me and the family and keep us safe till we see you again... thank you for being part of my life.
With love
Shawn

Grandma you played such a large part in my life growing up and i learned so many things from you. The memories will never fade away they are etched in my heart forever. I learned how to love unconditionally, and how to treat others with respect and always lend a helping hand when needed. Family has always been number one and you will always be our number one grandma to us. I thank you for being there for all of us and being the greatest teacher a child could have. Give Grandpa,Dad, and little Walt a big hug and kiss for us. I love you and miss you

I'm reminded now of a story called A Mother's Way by Temple Bailey. It is a story of a mother's journey with her children beginning with the early sunshine days and traveling through trials that taught courage, strength, and the ability to see God.
*taken from the story*
The days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years. The mother grew old, until she was very little and bent. But her children were tall and strong, and they walked with courage. When the way was hard, they helped their mother; when the way was rough, they lifted her, for she was as light as a feather. At last they came to a hill, and beyond the hill they could see a shining road and Golden Gate flung wide.
The mother said, "I have reached the end of my journey. Now I know that the end really is better than the beginning, for my children can walk alone, and they will teach their children after them."
The children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates."
They stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates closed after her. They said, "We can't see her, but she is with us still. A mother like ours is more than a memory."
This story is everything my grandmother was to me and will continue to be in my heart. I love you grandma. Thank-you for your never ending love and for giving me such great moms! I know you will be looking down and laughing at the antics that will go on in my household as I raise my family now, but I know I'll do a good job because I had the best role model. Thanks Grandma.
