Obituary of Sara B. Sacharoff

Mrs. Sara Blumberg Sacharoff, age 89, of Mayfield, April 25, 2007, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville. She was born October 3, 1917 in Savannah, GA, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida Brown Blumberg. She resided in New York City since the age of 18 and came to Mayfield 13 years ago. In New York City she was employed as a manufacturer's model for many years by several clothing manufacturers including Graysons of California Sara was married on May 6, 1951 to Milton S. Sacharoff who died May 29, 1999. She is survived by her sister, Gusette and Donald Johnson, whom she resided with for the past 13 years in Mayfield; a niece, Robin Johnson of Mayfield; a sister-in-law and nieces in Savannah, Georgia; two nieces in New York City and a nephew in California. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville with Rabbi Martin Gordon officiating. Richard Giardino, Raymond Rhodes, Robert Kendrick, John Ille, William Barnett and Robert Duffek will act as bearers. Honorary bearers will be Paul Giardino and Roger Johnson.
