Joana, MarySue & Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy with the passing of your father. He was truly a kind and generous man. He and my father Chet were buddies and I will never forget his kindness when he passed away. He gave a lot of his time and himself to my dad. He took time to take him to his treatments when I could not and he spent time with me in the hospital so I was not alone.
He kept in touch and was the first to acknowledge the passing of my own husband in 2003.
I also have fond memories of the times we spent at camp up at Muscle's Harbor.
He spoke of you both often with great pride and love.
I know that that I shall always have a special place in my heart for him, he will be greatly missed.

Mary Sue & Joanna,
I am deeply saddened by passing of your Father. Joe, your Dad, was a like a father to me. After my Dad had passed away, your Dad stepped forward when I was 16and took his place. We became very close and spent a lot of time together at first, with me, and then with my family.I lost touch with him over the past four + years thru my own negligence. It is with my deepest sympathy that I send this condolence. The memories of Joe are unlimited and are etched into the hearts of my wife Patty and my children Richie and Diana. We having nothing but fond memories and great love for him. He took me under his mentorship when I was 16 and we kept in close touch for over 38+ years. We loved him very much and we will miss him immensely. We are all deeply saddened and send our deepest sympathy. Joe was an outstanding human being. We will remember him in our prayers. We will truly miss him. May he rest in peace.
Rich Sr., Patty, Richie Jr., and Diana Catello.

Joe, was the only grandfather I ever had, even though I was only a step grandson he always treated me as if we where blood. I have many wonderful memories of time spent together. Cooperstown Baseball hall of fame, Storytown, fishing at McConchies campground. My first Mets game at shea. He will always hold a special place in my heart. he was a wonderful man. I will miss him
