Obituary of Barbara A. Byron
Mrs. Barbara A. Byron, 77 of Gloversville, died Wednesday at her residence. Mrs. Byron was born April 28, 1930 in Albany, NY and moved with her family to Gloversville in 1942. She was educated in Gloversville schools and employed as a Matron for the Gloversville Police department. Barbara had also been an Election Inspector for many years and was a Cub Scout den mother.
She is survived by her husband, Langford Patric Byron of Gloversville whom she married March 14, 1970, her children: Diane L. Sardella of Gloversville, Kimberly A. Gerald Keane of Waterbury, CT, and Mark A. Natalie Sgambato of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She is also survived by a brother, Donald Verna Eifreg of Johnstown; a niece, Kelly Eifreg of Johnstown; one aunt, Betty Eberle of Clifton Park; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and her dear friend, Billie Lee Stewart. Mrs. Byron was pre-deceased by a great granddaughter, Lindsay Lucas.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville.
