Obituary of Marjorie Insognia

Mrs. Marjorie R. Insognia, 83 of Gloversville , passed away Friday May 4, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital following a brief illness. She was born December 27, 1923 in the Town of Glen. She is the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie Donovan Rose.Mrs. Insognia was married September 25, 1943 to Rinardo N. Insognia Sr. who pre-deceased her May 28, 1988. She was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School. Marjorie was manager of the former J.J. Newberry store in Gloversville for 25 years. She also enjoyed sewing and as a homemaker, was completely devoted to her children and grandchildren. Marjorie loved her faithful companion cat Beau. Survivors include her children: Rinardo N. Insognia Jr. Phyllis of Northville, Susan I. Tennent Al of Zebulon, N.C., David B. Insognia Sr. of Gloversville, and Gina M. Nethaway Frank of Gloversville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Jody Insognia, Rinardo N. Insognia III, Julia Tennent, Jason Tennent, Roasie Hubiak, Nacole Insognia, David B. Insognia Jr., and Frank R. Nethawy Jr. Marjorie has five great grandchildren; Nicholas and Andrew Insognia, Brianna and Joshua Hubiak and Garrett Tennent. Additional survivors include her brother; Neal Donovan of Illinois, and a sister, Elsie Chichester of the Town of Glen, several nieces and nephews.. Mrs. Insognia was pre-deceased by two sisters; Marianne Ryder and Jessie Barbin. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 am Tuesday from the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville with Reverend Donald Czelusniak officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
