Obituary of Linda S. Cook
Mrs. Linda S. Cook, 60, of State Hwy. 5, Fonda, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon at Hospice House in Gloversville.
Born on January 22, 1947 in Gloversville, NY she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marjorie Buyce Frasier. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. For over 26 years she worked for Kasson and Keller in Fonda.
Linda enjoyed family picnics, flower shopping with her sisters and nieces in the spring, square dancing, fishing, horseback riding, birds, playing cards, the computer, whale watching and was a big fan of Elvis. Most of all she loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Shirley Maidment and Beatrice Herringshaw.
Survivors include, the love of her life, Ronald E. ?Cookie? Cook Sr., whom she married on March 6, 1976; one sons, Ronald ?Chip? Cook Jr. and his wife Sarah ?Becky? of Bleecker, NY; one sister, June Hayes and her husband Charles of Newport, NY; three brothers, Gene Frasier of Gloversville, NY, Dewey Frasier and his wife June of Gloversville, NY and Carleton Frasier and his wife Diane of Lassellsville, NY; five grandchildren, Bethany, Abigail, Moriah, Sarah, David; many close fiends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 12:00 noon at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, with the Rev. Bruce Hoose presiding. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Sandflats, Fonda. Relatives and friends and invited and may call from 4 until 7 today Monday at the funeral home. Donations in her memory, may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
