Obituary of Marion Swider

Marion Swider, 83, formerly of the Stratton Apartments, passed away Monday morning at the River Ridge Living Center with her family at her side. Born in Amsterdam on April 14, 1924, she was the daughter of Giusseppi and Emanuela Boccio. Educated locally, Marion was a home maker and lived here her entire life. She was a communicant of St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church. Her husband, Leo J. Swider predeceased her on Feb. 9, 1981. Her loving family includes her children; Leo and his wife Sandi Swider of Amsterdam, Robert and his wife Janice Swider of Glenville and Anne Marie and her husband Tim Miller of Loudonville; brothers; Louis and Nicholas Boccio of Perth, her twin sister, Margaret Boccio of Amsterdam; eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, as well as nieces and nephews. Services are Thursday morning at 8:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:15 am at St. Mary?s Church. Interment is in the Sacred Heart Shrine at St. Mary?s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
