Obituary of Anna Marie Murray
Anna Marie Murray Murphy, 83, of Helwig Street, passed away on Saturday morning at the St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Family and friends called her Murph.
Born August 19, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Roger E. and Geraldine Knight Murray.
She was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
Anna was employed as a technician for the Johnstown Hospital for 20 years and later worked at Lexington until her retirement.
She was of the Episcopal Faith and was a member of the Ida L. MaGinnis Senior Citizen Center.
Anna was a woman with a great heart whose family and friends will miss her way. She loved taking care of her dog GiGi and enjoyed playing cards with her friends.
Survivors include a son, Garry Morris of Deland, Florida; three daughters, Kim Bruse and Kathy Murphy of Gloversville and Dawn Murphy; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother Edward Murray.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville. There will be no calling hours.
