Obituary of Phyllis E. Howe

Phyllis E. Howe, 90, of Chapman Drive, Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 28, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. She was born in London, England on May 23, 1917 daughter of the late Maurice and Elizabeth Tulip Renders. Phyllis has been a resident of the Amsterdam area for over 20 years. She was a dedicated home maker and enjoyed the task of keeping up her home and raising her three children. She enjoyed playing piano and organ, knitting, crocheting, sketching and drawing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandson, and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Russell Rex Howe who passed away in 1985. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Stewart of Amsterdam, two sons, Russell R. Howe, Jr. of Sarasota, FL, and John Ann Howe of Broadalbin, a grandson, Russell A. Howe of Providence, NY, and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley and Amanda Howe. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the Family.
