Obituary of David K. Oeser

David K. Oeser, 49, of Oeser Drive, Sprakers, NY passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam on February 18, 1958 he was the son of the late Albert Oeser and Gladys Oeser. He was a lifelong area resident and was educated in local schools. David was employed as a laborer for the Town of Root Highway Department. Favorite pastimes included four wheeling, being outdoors, collecting eagles and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His loving family includes his mother; his wife, the former Janet Mott, whom he married on July 29, 1989; one daughter, Shannon Oeser of Gloversville; one grandson Anthony; four sisters, Carol Meka and her husband Art of Canajoharie, Linda Logan and her husband Art of Stone Arabia, Vicki Casler of Randall, Lori Rouse and her husband Jim of Sprakers; five brothers, Albert Oeser and his wife Donna of Sprakers, Clay Oeser and his wife Pat of Sprakers, Randy Oeser and his fiancé Lorraine of Nelliston, Gary Oeser and his wife Marie of Palatine Bridge, Donald Oeser and his wife Judy of Sprakers; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Thomas Oeser. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 5p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie with the Rev. Joyce Jennings presiding. Calling hours will take place prior to the service from 2 until 5 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice.
