Obituary of Peter C. Millet

Peter C. Millet, 86, of Lost Valley Rd., Amsterdam, passed away Monday June 25, 2007 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. Born in Schenectady, NY on December 27, 1919 a son of William F. and Barbara Ann Schaaf Millet. He attended Schenectady Schools and was a decorated U.S. Army Veteran of World War II serving in the Rhineland, Europe and Africa. He was employed for St. Clare?s Hospital in Schenectady as a Porter and Delivery Person. He married Edith Millet. She passed away on August 22, 2005. Survivor?s include, Two Brothers, Robert Millet of Scotia, NY and Donald A. Millet of Texas. Two Sisters, Margaret Mary Ryan of Schenectady, NY and Virginia Ann Thimineur of Glenville, NY. Dear friend, Harold ?Corky? Knowlton of Amsterdam. Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive. A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Friday June 29, 2007 at 1:00P.M. at Fairview Cemetery, Steadwell Ave, Amsterdam with full military honors. There are no calling hours.
