Obituary of Alonzo F. Eaton

Alonzo F. Eaton, age 57, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Mountain Valley Hospice. He was born October 9, 1949 in Amsterdam, NY, the son of Alonzo and Hilda Chase Eaton. Mr. Eaton previously worked for 15 years at Palmateer Trucking and was employed for four years by Washburn's Dairy. Alonzo was also a member of Foothills United Methodist Church. Alonzo was married to Catherine ?Cookie? Campbell Eaton on December 2, 2000. He enjoyed fishing, collecting watches and antique model cars. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Campbell Eaton of Gloversville; his step-son, Charles Campbell of Gloversville; his step-daughter, Nakesha Campbell of Johnstown; his brother, Edward Eaton of Wilton; his sister, Mary and Howard Young of Gloversville; his brother-in-law, Rev. David Walker; his sister-in-law, Maryann Walker; special caregivers, Michele Harpp and Joseph Zuckerwar and his step-grandchildren, Shawn Michael Waldvogel, Jr., Kobe Waldvogel and Shawndra Waldvogel and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Eugene Mandeville. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY.
