Obituary of James F. Farley
James F. Farley, 75, of Meadow Street, passed away Monday evening at the Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany.
Born in Broadalbin on Dec. 29, 1931, he was the only son of the late William and Viola Bowers Farley. A lifelong resident, he attended local schools. During the Korean War, he proudly served his country with the US Air Force. Jim was employed by Western Union in Albany until he retired and was a member at one time of the Broadalbin VFW. In his spare time he repaired and refurbished antique radios.
He is survived by his children; Keith J. Farley and his wife Lisa of Amsterdam, David Farley of Broadalbin, Mark Farley and his wife Michelle of Amsterdam and Beth Farley of So. Carolina.
A graveside service will take place on Friday at 9:00 am at the Broadalbin ? Mayfield Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Make A Wish Foundation in care of the funeral home.
