Obituary of Bevan A. Tyler
Bevan A. Tyler, 83 of Washington Street, Fultonville, passed away Tuesday morning at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility with his loving family at his side.
Born June 23, 1924, in Amsterdam, New York, he was the son of Archie and Alice Bevan Tyler. He was a life long resident and attended local schools.
Bevan was employed at the White Mop Ringer Company in Fultonville for 25 years until retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the Hagaman United Methodist Church.
Bevan loved camping, his flower garden, cooking, fishing, raising dogs & cats and was an avid Yankee fan.
On July 17, 1971 he married the former Gladys Green VanAlstine.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons; Neal Tyler of Hermany, Pennsylvania, Donald VanAlstine Jr. of Amsterdam and Tracy VanAlstine of Fultonville; three daughters; Nancy Mars of Perth, NY, Patricia Green of Mayfield, NY and Bonnie Rosario of Fultonville; two brothers, Roger Tyler of Hagaman and Lewis Tyler of Charlotte, North Carolina; a sister, Gay Lewandowski of Hagaman; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00AM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY with the Rev. Cynthia Leonard officiating.
Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
