Obituary of Jean A. Scott

Jean A. Scott, 78, of Turf Tailor Park, passed away Monday morning with her loving family at her side at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY. She was born February 23, 1929 in Schenectady, New York. Jean attended schools and resided in Schenectady for a number of years and later lived in Rotterdam for a short time before moving to Clifton Park where she has resided for 35 years. She was employed for the Grand Union in Clifton Park for 18 years. Jean enjoyed spending time with her friends at TOPS in Clifton Park where she was a member for ten years. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her late husband Arnold ?Scotty? Scott who died in 2000. They where married for 53 years. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Sharp of Amsterdam and Shelly Russo of Fultonville, NY; five grandchildren, Shannon DeLuca, Adam Pieniazek, Alyssa Russo, Ashley Russo and Louis Russo; eight great grandchildren, Britny, Ryan, Brendon, Jaclyn, Ashlee, Alex, Lauralie and Addison; and several nephews. Family and Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, September 19, at 9:00 am at the St. Mary?s Church, Cresent Hill Road, Cresent, NY. There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made in Jean?s memory to the St. Jude?s Children?s Cancer Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York.
