Obituary of Robert J. Marciniak

Robert J. Marciniak, 62, of Amsterdam NY, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5th, 2017. Born on April 22nd, 1954 in Amsterdam NY, he was the son of the late Filomena Sarra and Leonard Marciniak. Robert graduated from the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. He spent many years fulfilling various roles for the city of Amsterdam. Robert enjoyed fishing and was a very sociable person. He was a friend to all and will be deeply missed by his family and close friends. Robert is survived by his brother Richard (Joan) Marciniak; his nieces Jennifer Marciniak, and Amanda (Jeff) Vogel; and his nephews Todd and Tim Marciniak. Many other family also survive. Robert is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Filomena Marciniak, and his brother Thomas Marciniak. A Memorial Service will take place in the spring at the discretion of the family.
