Obituary of Daniel F. Morreale

Daniel F. Morreale, 45, of the Town of Florida, passed away unexpectedly Saturday September 8, 2007 at his home. Born in Amsterdam on July 18, 1962 a son of Albert and Patrica Deal Morreale. He was a lifelong area resident. He attended St. Mary?s Institute and later was a 1980 graduate of the former Bishop Scully High School in Amsterdam. At one time Daniel lived in Kansas and was employed as a carpenter. He returned to this area and was employed for the former B & D Glass Co. in Amsterdam and most recently was employed as an Electronics Technician for the U.S. Postal Service and worked at the New Karner Rd. office in Albany, NY before retiring a few years ago. Daniel was of the Roman Catholic Faith. As a teenager he became an accomplished piano player and organist. He also at one time a member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Morreale is survived by his parents, Albert and Patricia Morreale of Amsterdam. His Aunt and Unlce, Elaine and Robert Deal of Amsterdam. Many cousins and friends also survive. Daniel loved his pet dogs, Lady and Bowser. A Memorial service will be held on Friday September 14, 2007 at 6:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Father Pascal Iannotti and Rev. Paul Vidulich presiding. Interment will be at a later date in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the Memorial Service on Friday beginning at 5:00P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County S.P.C.A. State Highway 5S Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, P.O. Box 699 Amsterdam, NY 12010.
