Obituary of Katherine G. Dixon

Katherine G. Dixon, 89, a recent resident of Libertyville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Libertyville Manor Nursing Home in Libertyville, Illinois. She was born June 18, 1918 in Fort Plain where she remained a resident for most of her life. Katherine was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, New York and was a former home economics teacher in Germantown, New York. She was a member of the Fort Plain Reformed Church, the D.A.R. and the Fort Plain Museum. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Randall Dixon in 1983; and one daughter, Cynthia Dixon. Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne Bruce Rodman and Deborah Mike Hostetler both of Libertyville; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A Graveside Service of Remembrance for Katherine G. Dixon will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 11 o'clock at the Fort Plain Cemetery with the Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie.
