Obituary of Frank J. Young

Mr. Frank J. Young, age 75, of County Highway 309, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. He was born December 18, 1931in the Town of Johnstown, the son of the late Frank and Sarah Grant Young. Affectionatley known as the ?Mayor of Bleecker?, Frank was the owner and operator of Frank Young Used Cars and Parts for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Bleecker Fish and Game Club and an Honorary Member of the Meco Fire Department. He was a former member of the Gloversville Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge and Fulton County Brothers of the Brush. He enjoyed being whith his grandchildren, and fishing at Black Lake. Frank is survived by his wife, Marlene E. Woodcock Young; also by three children, Teresa L. Jones Fredof Nelliston, Mark A. Young, Sr. Brenda of Bleecker and Cinda J. Spraker Edward of Bleecker; a brother, Clayton Young of Bleecker; a sister, Leona Ricci of Gloversville; eight grandchildren, Jolene Dunn Jeffrey, Mark Young, Jr; Edward Spraker III, Amber Jones , Alisha Young, Richard Young Jenn, James Young Magon and Joanna Christman John; four great-grandchildren, Cody Young, James Young, Jr; Brittney Young and Lyndsay Dawson; his pet dog, Zeus; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Young and Frank Young, Jr; and several brothers and sisters. It was Frank?s request that there be no calling hours or services. A Celebration of His Life will take palce at a future date to be announced. Arrangements are by Kobuskie - Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.
