Dear Nancy, Joe & Evan: It is with much sorrow that I express the feelings I have after hearing of Mary Ann's death. Evan, thank you for sending me the information in reply to my Christmas card. The proverbial "I should have kept in touch more often" of course is utmost in my mind now; but it's too late. Mary Ann and I shared a childhood friendship; as neighbors on West Street in Albany, NY. We were probably 5 years old. The friendship continued even as the family moved to Canajoharie on the farm I spent alot of time there, what great memories for a kid!. We always kept in touch thru letters and sometimes by phone. The last time we were together was to have lunch here in Colonie and to visit our "old neighborhood". Both of us being camera "nuts"; we took pictures of both our homes on West Street both houses and "stoops" looked the same. And we shared our memories on that stoop, playing in hallways with our dolls and the black doll that I always talked Mary Ann into giving me to play with. I guess when someone passes on, these are the times we all reflect on; the wonderful memories to be shared. Thanks again, Evan; for letting me know. Nancy, please call me; I would love to talk to you, and I would like Joe's address. Mary Ann is now in the loving arms of the Lord and with her Father, Mother, Walter, Charles and Ellie.
