Obituary of Mary T. Szewc

Mary T. Szewc, 91, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long illness. Born February 12, 1925 in Cliffside Park, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Wojtowicz Szewc. Mary was a member of the Crimson Fedorables and the Ida McGinnis Senior Club. She was a wonderful person who loved her family and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her son James Meglioranza (Connie); daughters Cathy Meglioranza (Paul Badalian) of Hackensack, NJ and Mary Ann Snyder (Frank) of Gloversville; grandchildren Stacy Snyder, Jacqueline Snyder, Tom Meglioranza and Minnell Meglioranza and niece Cathy Szewc. Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband James Meglioranza and several brothers. A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 2 P.M. at the Forest Hill Towers Community Room, 31 Forest Street, Gloversville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Mary's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
