Obituary of Seymour A. Stuart

Seymour A. Stuart Sr., 79 of Gloversville, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 21, 2007 with his loving family by his side. Seymour was born January 19, 1928, the son of the late Herman and Harriet Fosmire Stuart. He attended Wemple School in Keck Center. Seymour was employed in various leather mills before retiring from the Con-Rail Railroad after 25 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends, but nothing meant more to him than his family. Seymour?s love and generosity extended beyond his family. He would help anyone who needed his help in anyway. He was married September 23, 1950 to the late Rosella Whitman. They will be celebrating their 57 th anniversary together in heaven. Survivors include his children; Scott Lucky Stuart of Johnstown, Pamela Michael Rose of Gloversville and Seymour Colleen Stuart Jr. of Gloversville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jennifer Peter Simons, Christina, Michael and Robert Rose, Brian Nicole Stuart, Amanda Stuart, Audra, Seymour III and Wade Stuart. Additional survivors include seven great grandchildren, brothers Jack Stuart of Broadalbin and Richard Rose Stewart of Gloversville, sisters; Madeline Susi of Gloversville and Sara ArthurSimonds of Johnstown, many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Brenda, a son Steven , three brothers and three sisters. There will be no calling hours. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street. Gloversville.
