Obituary of Richard D. Pickard
Mr. Richard D. ?Dick? Pickard, 80, of Auriesville Road, Fultonville, NY passed away peacefully at home September 27, 2007, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on July 1, 1927 in Haverhill, MA the son of Arthur and R. Irene Surette Pickard. Dick attended school in Deerfield, New Hampshire and moved to the Fultonville area in 1961.
Dick was employed by L.E. Meyers Construction Co. and Gold Star Trailer Court in Randall. He later owned and operated Pickard Plumbing, Heating & Electrical before retiring in 1987. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Member and Past Master of the Fultonville Lodge #531 F&AM. He also was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union #1249 of Syracuse and was of the protestant faith.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Gallant; a brother, Robert Pickard; and a grandson, Ricky.
His loving family includes, his devoted companion of 17 years, Linda Kruger Gray; his children, Kenneth Paulette Pickard of Tallahassee, FL, Wanda Rick Hebert of Concord, NH and Julie Pickard of Spring Hill, FL; a step-daughter, Susan Scott Denton of Fonda, NY; a sister, Evelyn Aloise of Franklin, NH; six grandchildren, Garrett Pickard, Nathaniel Pickard, Danielle Hebert, Daniel Hebert, Kiersten Denton and Kelsey Denton; one great granddaughter, Ava Juliette Pickard; and several nieces and nephews.
At Dick?s request, there are no funeral services or calling hours. Interment will take place in the Buck Street Cemetery, Pembroke, NH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fultonville Masonic Lodge in care of the funeral home.
