Obituary of Doris Geer

Mrs. Doris Geer, 90, of Gloversville, died Monday at Mountain Valley Hospice House. She was born August 24, 1917 in South River, New Jersey. Mrs. Geer was educated in New Jersey and was a Gloversville resident for many years. An avid quilter, she was a founding member of the Molly Brant Quilting Society of Johnstown; she was also a member of the North Main Street United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children: Priscilla Reverend Robert Hurd of Berlin, New York, Richard A. Patricia Geer of Ft. Plain, and Thomas Lynn Geer of Greensboro, North Carolina. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday from the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville with her son-in-law, Reverend Robert Hurd, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-6 pm. Burial will be in Bleecker Cemetery.
