Obituary of Wilhemina Helena Smith
Wilhelmina H. Smith, 88, of Fultonville, NY, passed away Wednesday October 3, 2007 at her home.
Born in the Bronx, NY on September 24, 1919 a daughter of Eugene Witon and Wilhelmina Rettenmaier Johnson. She attended Bronx Schools.
Wilhelmina was employed for the Fonda Manuafacturing Company as an office clerk. She also worked at the Kirbside Nursing Home in Rocksbury, NY and at the Truck StopTOA in Fultonville, NY also as a clerk.
She attended Fultonville Reformed Church where she sang in the church choir. She was a member of the Charleston Historical Society, the Rebecca Lodge #441 in Stoney Point, NY, the Glen Grange, Johnstown Christian Women?s Club and the Mohawk Valley Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #489.
Survivor?s include her dear friends, Olive Taylor, Eleanor Getman, Marge Whipple and Marge Van Shaick.
Wilhelmina enjoyed her pet cats, flowers and Christian music.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 2:00P.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY 12072 with Rev. Charles Hesselink presiding. Interment will be in Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville, NY. Calling hours will Wednesday October 10, 2007 one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00P.M at the funeral home. The Order of the Eastern Star will be conducting a service also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ayers Memorial Animal Shelter or to the Order of the Eastern Star both c/o the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home.
